Description
2016 Crawford F4: Street-Titled, Honda K20 Power and Paddle-Shift Sequential
Few cars put a real single-seater chassis on a public road. The Crawford F4 began as a purpose-built open-wheel racer, and this example has been certified, titled and insured for street use. It is black, essentially unused, and supplied with three sets of tires.

Crawford Composites, a North Carolina carbon-fiber specialist founded in 1998, built the F4 as the first FIA-approved Formula 4 chassis made in the United States. The car had to pass the FIA’s crash-test program, covering the survival cell, frontal and rear impacts, and front and rear rollover. It was created for the inaugural 2016 F4 United States Championship, and its lineage includes Crawford’s Daytona Prototype and Formula Lites programs.
The power comes from a Honda K20 four-cylinder driving through a sequential gearbox with paddle shifters. In series trim, the F4’s 2.0L naturally aspirated K20C is derived from the engine in the European Civic Type R and is detuned to 158 hp. The seller confirms the K20 and the paddle-operated sequential, but not the output of this street-legal configuration. In a car this light and this low, the experience is defined by immediacy: a short-throw rhythm of paddle upshifts, a high-revving engine just behind the driver, and the sensation of a real open-wheel race car on the road.

The exterior is all black, with the exposed carbon-composite construction and open-wheel layout typical of the F4. The seller describes the car as being in perfect condition with no cosmetic flaws, and says everything works as it should. The cockpit is a single-seat formula layout built around the driver, and the seller reports no wear or issues.

Key Features
- Crawford F4 chassis, the first FIA-approved Formula 4 chassis built in the U.S.
- Honda K20 engine with a paddle-shifted sequential gearbox
- Street-legal certification, titled and insured by the manufacturer
- Black exterior, garage kept and essentially unused
- Three sets of tires included

The seller reports the car is new, with all service and maintenance up to date, and it has been garage kept. The upgrades that make it road-legal were completed by the manufacturer. It comes with a clean Montana title and three sets of tires, and the seller states it can be registered and operated on public roads. Mileage is listed as exempt.
It suits a collector or track-day enthusiast who wants a genuine racing-derived single-seater they can also drive legally, and who values the rarity of the real thing over a replica.
