While the Country Cools Down, South Florida's Car Season Fires Up

As most of the country starts pulling out the car covers and tucking the convertible away for winter, South Florida is just getting warmed up. This past weekend was the unofficial kickoff to car season down here — two mornings, three stops, and a clear signal for enthusiasts everywhere that while your garage is going into hibernation, ours is just opening its doors.
If you've never spent an October weekend in the Palm Beaches, here's what you're missing: cool-but-not-cold mornings, coffee that's an excuse more than a necessity, and a car community that treats the first weekend of "season" like a holiday. Here's the recap.
K2 Motorcars Opens the Season
Saturday morning kicked off at K2 Motorcars in Jupiter, which hosted its first Cars & Coffee of the season at its 72,000-square-foot storage, concierge, and consignment facility. K2 has built its name as South Florida's go-to for collector and exotic car storage, detailing, and consignment — they're a certified Bring a Trailer Local Partner — so when they open the doors for a community meet, the metal that shows up tends to be worth the early alarm.

By 8 AM the lot was full and still filling — a mix of regulars who show up every weekend of the season and a few first-timers checking out K2's facility for themselves.

Plenty of cars worth a second lap around the lot, plenty of conversations that ran long past the last sip of coffee.

It's a good reminder of why this season matters to more than just the people already living here: facilities like K2 exist because South Florida's collector car scene runs twelve months a year, and the cooler months are when it really gets going.
Supercar Saturdays Lights Up Seminole Hard Rock
Saturday wasn't just K2's morning. Across the state at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Supercar Saturdays Florida kept its regular meet rolling right on schedule — a standing fixture on the second Saturday of most months (they take the summer off), running 9 AM to noon with free entry, and consistently pulling out one of the deepest supercar and exotic lineups in the state.

This month's lineup kept that reputation intact, with a rotating mix of exotics and supercars filling the hotel's display area all morning.

Supercar Saturdays Florida is also the team behind Exotics at the Colonnade, their bigger annual showcase at Sawgrass Mills — more on that in "What's Next" below.
Any Day at Sunday Motor Co.
Sunday wasn't about an event at all — it was just breakfast. We posted up at Sunday Motor Co.'s newest cafe location in West Palm Beach, an automotive-inspired cafe and lifestyle brand that's spent the better part of seven years turning coffee and car culture into one habit. No flyer, no start time, nothing on the calendar — just a good cup of coffee and a lot full of people who'd rather talk cars than scroll their phones.

That's the real appeal of the place — it's the kind of spot where you can roll up on a random morning and still find something worth a second look. This time it was a clean Corvette parked out front, belonging to a customer who was more than happy to talk our ears off about it over coffee. No meet required.

Inside, it's less a coffee shop than a clubhouse — a counter slinging the Waypoint and Podium blends, automotive-leaning decor, and merch that doubles as a wink to anyone who gets the references.

If you're in West Palm and haven't made it out yet, Sunday Motor Co. is worth the stop on its own — car crowd or not. Go say hi, grab a bag of the Waypoint blend, and give them a follow. Any day you go, there's a good chance you'll find something interesting parked out front.
